I'm over the moon to be able to pay this incredible program a visit, to talk about poetry and translation, and to see what all Gary Dop, the amazing director, has been getting up to!

Bring your sandals to walk on the beach after this reading featuring me and famed poet and translator Ilya Kaminsky at the site once occupied by the 110-room mansion William Randolph Hearst built for
I'm excited to be a part of this event with Brian Laidlaw at Open Books, a store devoted to only poetry! I will read and Brian, who is a poet and musician, will read and will also perform his original music.
Don't worry, I promise not to sing.
I get to read in Springfield, Illinois in the Vachel Lindsay Home
Poets in the Parlor Series! I may have a mild obsession with Abraham
Lincoln, so I will be arriving a day ahead of the reading in order to
visit his former home.
I'm excited to visit lovely St. Louis and read with J. Ryan Stradal in the storied River Styx Reading Series. Many of the poems in my book first appeared in the pages of this beloved magazine, so this reading feels like a homecoming.
I read in the open mic in this lovely reading series way back in the day, when I was only 25! I'm so excited to be a featured reader all these years later. Come on out, SLO Town, and bring something to share in the open mic.
The celebration continues with a reading at the Sacramento Poetry Center with the incredible Moira Magneson!
Come sample Portland ciders and hear the poetry of Dorianne Laux, Maggie Smith, Joshua Mensch, Matty Layne, and Francesca Bell. House ciders made from local apples served in the pub, taco truck out front for those who'd like to bring their dinners into the reading. Red Hen Anniversary Party to follow (7:30-10)!
Francesca will be reading with Bill Gainer, Jekeva Phillips, Robert Lashley, and Michele McDannold.
Francesca Bell will appear in conversation with Brittany Ackerman at Green Apple Books. There will be poems, and a reading from Ackerman's memoir The Perpetual Motion Machine, and a wide-ranging discussion about writing the personal, particularly when the personal involves great difficulties and other people's traumas.
